Case Study 1: Anglia CP6 Wheel Timber Bridge Renewals, Year 3
TECS supported Taziker in the delivery of the survey, design, and installation of 5no Wheel Timber Bridge (WTB) renewals.
TECS supported Taziker in the delivery of the survey, design, and installation of 5no Wheel Timber Bridge (WTB) renewals. Sites included Bretts Hill, North Walsham, Occupational Drove, Cantley Lane, and River Tas (and flood spans). The works were of an urgent nature due to the ongoing deterioration of the assets. This resulted in tight time constraints to complete the required surveys and designs. Successful delivery of the project required all stakeholders to undertake a collaborative approach to ensure the programme could be achieved; due to the limited access and tight timescales.

The five designs were delivered over five weeks with surveys feeding into this and overlapping with the design works. This was due to the planned access constrained to three delivery weekends across the five bridges. TECS utilised two design houses to support the P-way and Civil Engineering design; which we managed. Programme captured below.
The project was a success and all designs were delivered on time which allowed all the planned weekends to progress as planned.
